When connecting camera to a router use RJ-45 cable. You also need to plug camera to power outlet using AC/DC adapter. Please make sure the RJ-45 cable and power adapter are supplied with the camera.
If your IP-camera supports PoE technology (Power over Ethernet), then, instead of using power adapter, connect camera to the router using PoE injector. PoE makes installation easier because only one cable is needed to connect the camera to power and Internet.
To connect camera to WiFi please select appropriate WiFi network in camera settings web page and type the password. Camera settings web page is available via internet browser via camera's IP-address. The camera must be connected to a router or a computer before this.
Register account on the site and attach camera to it. If your camera is integrated with ipCama you can connect it using just MAC-address. MAC-address is the unique device identifier printed on the back side of the camera.
If your camera is not integrated with ipCama, it can be connected by specifying its external IP-address. External IP-address is the network identifier issued by your Internet Service Provider. This address must be static. You also need to set up port mapping on the router.
